An aggressive fitment on a Bugeye and it works…

For you flushness fans, this Subaru is an example of a wheel / tire fitment with out stupid goofy stretched tires. Some of the “Flush” fans think you have to put a 195/30/18 (exaggeration folks… that tire size doesn’t exist so don’t ask) on a 18 x 9.5 tire which is, first not safe, and second looks just plain stupid. This customer that came in with these 18 x 9.5 Rotas had the right idea when it came to Tire / Wheel sizes.

His set up with a 255/35/18 tire with the 18×9.5 was a perfect fit and it gave the right amount of aggressiveness and stance that the customer wanted. The look was perfect. Of course, he was rolled and pulled for this so if you want a fitment like this, contact us and we’ll set you up!

Another set of giant tires at Apollo Performance

At Apollo Performance we have two sides. The performance side and the Apollo Tires side. We sell tires (obviously) and other items and tires do come in wide array of sizes and shapes. The other day, we put on giant tires for a lifted truck.

These tires weighed at least 50 lbs each if not more.

Breaking the bead loose is always a careful method and Gino shows how it’s done.

Aggressive wheel fitment on a EVO 9! 18 x 10!

Usually we don’t get too many EVO’s rolling into our shop but this one has a good history with us (btw, we don’t say to EVO’s). He came to us with a new set of wheels, and this isn’t the first time. We’ve done a ton of wheel fitments for this car.

Work wheels that are 18 x 10 +22! Perfect for an EVO X but for an EVO 9? Pretty hard core.

Look at the stretch on the 245/40/18 tire! Insane!

We first mounted the fronts because we wanted to gauge the clearance. We had to use a 5mm spacer but this is the clearance… probably 1mm – 2mm TOPS. Insane!

Here’s the front fitment. Pretty spot on!

The rear fitment was totally is crazy. Look at the stretch!!!

Ballllin! Danny gets his Yokohama Neova tires and Volk TE37’s!

So about 3 months ago we all laughed at Danny for ordering special order only TE37’s from Volk Racing. They had to be made in Japan. Well, he shut us up when they arrived.

Yeah, seeing these wheel made me tear just a little bit. They’re 18 x 9.5 +22. Aggressive, yes! We can’t wait to see these bad boys on Danny’s ride!

Sorry for the late news on this (to Albert) but I want to share this to you all. I took pictures of Albert rolling and pulling our fenders to fit the aggressive wheel / tire combo that we have. Especially Yukio’s wagon since there is an absence of a rear fender flares like the sedans have.

Yukio’s wagon is mostly stickerless but stickier with Bridgestone RE-11 Tires!

Yukio goes through tires and wheels like it’s going out of style but his streak is going to stop with this ultra sticky Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires! He couldn’t wait to get these bad boys on his Daily Driver Tommy Kaira wheels.

First off, the tires were a dream to mount. The rubber is a softer compound so we didn’t have to fight the mounting machine to get the Bridgestone RE-11 Tires on. Second, the tread pattern is just pain mean.

Yukio’s initial response to the tires when he took it on the road was extremely positive. “These tires are noticeably quieter on the road than most of other competitors tires. They didn’t have that drone that kills the ride quality like other UHP tires. Secondly, the car handles like it’s a go-kart. Although I don’t drive extremely aggressively on the street since that should be done on the track, the harder turns that I take, the car goes into it, effortlessly.” With that kind of feed back, we’re super excited to see what capabilities these Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires have!
